THE BAND

Trojan is Geelong and the Surf Coast’s premier cover band. Formed in 2005, Trojan continually plays to amazed crowds around Geelong, the Surf Coast & Melbourne.

With combined musical experience of over 80 years, the band provides outstanding entertainment for weddings, private functions, corporate gigs; just about any event you can think of. Trojan is a truly flexible band. Playing songs from the 60’s, 70's, 80's, 90's & today and covering many genres such as rock, pop, R&B & Dance.

Trojan is the product of the combined musical experience of such leading cover bands as Propaganda, Reil Diamond, 3am, The Message and Superlove. This electric combination has lead to an amazing mix of musical talents. See a Trojan live show and prepare to be blown away.

Trojan started as a two piece duo and rapidly expanded to a full four piece band.

Trojan is a band where every member shines. They have the rare combination of all four members being incredible vocalists and unparalleled musicians. Simon Hageman

Lead Vocals and Rhythm Guitar 

Trojan's founder and lead vocalist Simon Hageman is one the region's most experienced and versatile performers. His vocal range is incredible and is equally at home belting out a new pop tune as with crooning his way through a big band number.

Not only the lead singer, he is also the band's rhythm guitarist. His acoustic guitar playing is a very important ingredient in the Trojan sound.

Brad Dawson

Drums and Vocals

A Sonor endorsee, a regular performer at Drum Mania and a top notch drum teacher in very high demand, Brad Dawson is Trojan's percussion extrodinare and vocalist. Not only can he play drums lines with precision and flare, he can do this while giving an amazing vocal performance every gig!

He has studied with some of the country's top players including Gerry Pantazis and Darryn Farrugia. Brad's amazing feel and technique can be heard in every song... come to a Trojan gig and feel it for yourself!

Paul Santospirito

Bass Guitar and Vocals

Often described as the smoothest player around, Paul's bass lines and incredible voice are the backbone of Trojan's sound. A true multi-instrumentalist (drums, bass, guitar, keyboards... the list goes on!), Paul's musical knowledge is second to none.

Paul's rich vocals, amazing feel and phrasing is rarely a combination found in one musician. FDM.

Christian Benci

Lead Guitar and Vocals

Also known as 'The Shredder', Christian's command of the electric guitar is incredible. From blues heavy lead lines full of emotion to Van Halen style finger tapping and beyond, he's go it covered.

Christian brings his strong vocals to the mix and completes the bands signature four part harmonies.
